Architecture & Engineering: EndresWare (Endrestudio)
Builder: Paul Endres with Dara Lehman
Steel Fabricator: Tony Orantez

A hyperbolic roof shelters the former EndresWare office with a striking chevron pattern of tapered douglas-fir rafters. Lightly resting on six-inch high perimeter clerestory windows, these rafters unite at a thin central beam whose tensioned cable profile projects though the main entry door. A balanced palette of materials is found throughout with cementitious interior wall panels, laminate glass floor and custom sliding doors. At night, indirect lighting is used to dramatize the minimal connection between the roof plane and the exterior walls. In the daytime, light passing through the clerestory creates a dynamic shadow pattern on the ceiling.
